Job summary

Tekvana Inc. is seeking a Windows/VMware Technical Lead in Orlando, onsite. You will lead the administration of Windows Server environments and VMware infrastructure, drive patching, security hardening, upgrades, migrations, and automation initiatives.

You will coordinate incident management, RCA, and SLA adherence while engaging with clients and ensuring accurate documentation per ITIL and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Extensive Windows Server and VMware infra experience.
• Hands-on server OS patching and lifecycle management.
• Experience with incident management and triaging.
• Customer-facing role with onsite engagement in Orlando.

Responsibilities

• Lead administration and support of Windows Server environments (2012/2016/2019/2022).
• Manage and support VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter; perform cluster management, HA, DRS, and storage optimization.
• Own enterprise patching lifecycle for Windows OS and VMware stack; manage monthly and emergency patches.
• Oversee vulnerability management and security hardening practices.
• Perform OS and VMware upgrades (in-place or migrations).
• Lead migration and transformation projects (P2V, V2V, on-prem to cloud).
• Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code initiatives to reduce manual effort.
• Oversee monitoring, performance and incident management with RCA and SLA adherence.
• Maintain documentation and governance per ITIL and regulatory requirements.

Job Description :

Windows Server Infrastructure Management

Lead administration and support of Windows Server environments (2012/2016/2019/2022)

Ensure high availability and performance tuning of Windows environments

1. VMware Virtualization Administration

Manage and support VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter

Perform cluster management, HA, DRS, and storage optimization

Lead VM provisioning, decommissioning, and lifecycle management

Troubleshoot performance issues at hypervisor, VM, and storage levels

1. Patch Management & Compliance

Own enterprise patching lifecycle for Windows OS and VMware stack

Ensure monthly patch cycles, emergency patching, and rollback plans

1. Vulnerability Management & Security Hardening

2. Upgrades & Lifecycle Management

OS upgrades (in-place / migration-based)

VMware upgrades (ESXi, vCenter, tools, hardware versions)

1. Migration & Transformation Projects

Lead infrastructure migrations such as:

Physical to Virtual (P2V)

Virtual to Virtual (V2V)

On-prem to Cloud (Azure/AWS/Hybrid)

1. Automation & Infrastructure as Code

Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and errors

1. Monitoring, Performance & Incident Management

Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents

Ensure adherence to SLAs, MTTR targets, and uptime goals

Participate in on-call and escalations as L3 support

1. Documentation & Governance

Maintain accurate documentation

Ensure compliance with:

ITIL processes

Audit and regulatory requirements

Expectation from Stakeholders

Share relevant profiles with hands‑on L3 experience in the above technologies
