Job summary

Amentum seeks a Systems Administrator 2 (Windows) for Kauai, HI to support U.S. Navy operations in a DoW security environment. You will manage Windows Server, AD, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, and ensure RMF/NIST controls are applied on classified and unclassified networks.

The role requires patching via MECM, system hardening with ACAS/ESS, PowerShell scripting, and virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V). You will contribute to ATO/POAM documentation and serve as a senior escalation point.

Qualifications

• Two years of Windows system administration experience.
• Familiar with RMF/NIST controls and DoW policies.
• Experience with DoW networks and MECM/SCCM.
• Certifications: DoW IAT II and Windows OS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server environments across classified and unclassified Navy networks.
• Configure AD, DNS, DHCP, and GPOs.
• Ensure DISA STIG compliance and DoW cybersecurity policies; remediate findings.
• Perform patch management with MECM and deploy updates.
• Automate tasks with PowerShell; support virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).
• Assist with ATO/POAM documentation and Change Control Boards (CCBs).
• Provide escalation and support for junior staff; assist incident response.
