Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holding, LLC seeks a Systems Administrator II, Windows (Part-Time) to maintain Windows Server environments across Navy networks at PMRF in Kekaha, Hawai'i. You will apply RMF/NIST controls, manage AD/DNS/DHCP/GPO, and support patching, hardening, and security tooling.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in Windows administration, DoD policy knowledge, and strong scripting skills. The role involves occasional site visits and at-sea activity with PMRF's MATSS system.

Qualifications

• Two years of specialized Windows system administration required.
• Knowledge of IT systems and advanced IT infrastructure concepts.
• Proficient with PCs, software, and office equipment.
• Basic keyboarding skills and attention to neatness/accuracy.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking.
• Automation scripting with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• VMware or Nutanix certification preferred.
• Familiarity with Trellix, LogRhythm, and MDE security tools.
• Experience with MECM/SCCM and DoW systems.
• Understanding of cybersecurity methods and practices.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments on Navy networks.
• Configure AD, DNS, DHCP, and GPOs; ensure STIG/DISA compliance.
• Execute patching across Microsoft systems using MECM or similar tools.
• Perform system hardening and vulnerability remediation with security tools.
• Use PowerShell to automate routine tasks and workflows.
• Support VMware and Hyper-V virtualization platforms.
• Assist with ATO documentation and POAM tracking.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and participate in change boards.
• Support backup, DR, and incident response activities.
