Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is seeking a System Administrator to support a DoD environment in Kihei, Maui. The successful candidate will manage Windows Server and Linux (RHEL) across classified and unclassified networks, enforce RMF compliance, and maintain DISA STIGs.

Responsibilities include patch management, system hardening, scripting (PowerShell), virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V, Nutanix), DoD accreditation activities (ATO/POA&Ms), documentation, incident response, backup and recovery,

Qualifications

• Experience in DoD environments and cybersecurity practices.
• Strong RMF and DISA STIGs knowledge.
• Ability to manage Windows and Linux systems in hybrid networks.
• Familiarity with patch management and vulnerability remediation.
• Proven scripting and automation capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server and Linux (RHEL) in classified/unclassified networks.
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP across domains.
• Apply RMF controls and maintain DoD cybersecurity policies.
• Patch, harden, and remediate vulnerabilities using approved tools.
• Develop PowerShell scripts for automation; support virtualization platforms.
• Support ATO/POA&M, documentation, and change control processes.
• Assist incident response, backups, and disaster recovery efforts.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with cybersecurity teams.
