Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is seeking a Systems Administrator II to support Windows environments at PMRF, Kekaha, Hawai`i. The role emphasizes RMF/NIST controls, patch management with MECM, and system hardening across classified and unclassified networks.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of Windows administration experience, DoD policy familiarity, and strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python).

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of specialized Windows system administration experience.
• Knowledge of IT systems and advanced IT infrastructure concepts.
• Proficient in operating personal computers, software and standard office equipment.
• Basic keyboarding skills and accuracy.
• Critical thinking and problem solving.
• Proficiency in automation tools and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• VMware/Nutanix certifications.
• Knowledge/Administration of Trellix, LogRhythm, MDE.
• Experience with MECM/SCCM.
• Experience with DoD systems and infrastructure.
• Knowledge in Cyber Security Methods and Techniques.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments across Navy networks.
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and GPOs.
• Ensure compliance with DISA STIGs and DoW cybersecurity policies.
• Execute patch management using MECM.
• Perform system hardening and vulnerability remediation with ACAS, ESS, and SCAP.
• Use PowerShell to automate routine tasks.
• Support virtualization platforms: VMware and Hyper-V.
• Assist cybersecurity teams with ATO/POAM documentation.
• Provide escalation support and guidance to junior staff.
• Participate in Change Control Boards and incident response.
