Job summary

Lone Star College System is seeking a System Administrator I, Windows to help maintain the Windows Server environment across campus locations in Texas. You will support backups, performance, and server configurations while ensuring security and reliability for campus IT services.

The role requires an Associate's degree with at least 1 year of related experience, and occasional travel to different LSC locations is expected. Strong collaboration with IT teams is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with Windows servers or Server applications.
• Ability to travel to different LSC locations.

Responsibilities

• Add/remove users from general usage security groups through approved processes.
• Apply OS and server software patches and upgrades.
• Configure/add/develop new server services as necessary.
• Maintain integrity of the campus server environment including OS and server software.
• Deploy configurations and software to servers and workstations.
• Administer and troubleshoot campus print servers and networked printers.
• Create and maintain SOPs for supported services.
• Provide DNS and DHCP support for campuses.
• Monitor licensing and maintenance for system software.
• Deliver patching and security updates for campus workstations and servers.
