Lone Star College System is seeking a Technician III to support and maintain computer systems, desktops, and peripherals across campus locations. The role includes diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading hardware, plus end-user training and assistance.

You will install and support workstation hardware and software, manage inventory, prepare logs, and document issues. A strong customer service mindset and the ability to translate technical topics for non-technical users are essential.

Qualifications

Extensive knowledge of Windows, Mac, and Unix operating systems.
Strong customer service orientation with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving IT practices.

Responsabilités

Work with end users to identify and deliver required PC services.
Provide training and support to staff on computer operations.
Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user hardware and software.
Maintain inventory of monitors, keyboards, drives, printers, and peripherals.
Document hardware failures, repairs, and configurations.
Assist in logging and monitoring PC performance.
