Job summary

Lone Star College System is seeking a Technician III to support and maintain computer systems, desktops, and peripherals at our Houston campuses. You will diagnose, repair, upgrade hardware, and provide end-user training to keep workstations running smoothly.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, clear communication, and the ability to resolve diverse PC problems quickly, with a focus on reliability and teamwork in a busy academic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related experience.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to explain technical subjects to non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Work with end users to identify and deliver required PC services.
• Act as a liaison and provide training and support to end users and staff on computer operations.
• Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot level III end user workstation hardware and networking software products.
• Perform on-site analysis and resolution of semi-complex PC problems for various end users and implement corrective hardware solutions.
