Curtiss-Wright Corporation, Cheswick (Pittsburgh area), invites applicants to join the Winding Trainee Program. The role starts at Labor Grade 10 with sequential raises to Labor Grade 12 and 14 as milestones are met, including module assessments and hours completed.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an electronics/apprenticeship or an associate degree in electronics.
• US citizenship is required due to DoD requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform winding and layout for stators and rotors and connect components as required.
• Coordinate winding operations, study job specs, procedures, and equipment availability.
• Review work orders, drawings, and instructions with supervision as needed.
• Inspect dimensions and tolerances and gather necessary tools and fixtures.
• Build up and assemble stator coils and rotors, apply potting and insulation materials.
• Wind and connect complex windings where space constraints exist.
• Perform final connections, braze bus bars and terminal glands.
• Construct and assemble specialized components and perform related wiring tasks.
• Handle potting, insulation, and related finishing operations.
