Curtiss-Wright EMD in Cheswick, PA, is seeking candidates for the Winding Trainee Program at our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location. The program features a structured progression from Labor Grade 10 to 12 to 14 based on hours, modules and performance, with in-house training and exposure to winding of stators/rotors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus electronics apprenticeship or related degree.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance.
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment with precise winding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform winding and layout of stators and rotors, including complex assemblies.
• Prepare insulation, potting compounds and related processes per drawings.
• Coordinate operations and review work instructions with supervision.
• Gather required tools and verify dimensions and tolerances at the workstation.
• Assist in QA checks and maintain safety and quality standards.
• Support continuous improvement and adhere to DoD and company policies.
