Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation in Cheswick, PA offers a Winding Trainee Program at the Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location. Trainees start at Labor Grade 10 with path to Labor Grade 12 and 14 as hours and module assessments are completed. The program includes in-house training and progression through winding, potting, and insulation tasks.

The role requires US citizenship, DoD security eligibility, and the ability to obtain clearance while performing winding and assembly duties across stators and rotors.

Qualifications

• High school graduate with completion of a four-year Electronics/Electrical Apprenticeship, or a two-year associate degree in electronics.
• Due to DoD requirements, candidates must be US citizens.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of winding layout for stators and rotors, wind stators complete and connect as required.
• Coordinate winding operations and understand job specifications, procedures, and equipment availability.
• Review work orders with drawings and instructions from supervision.
• Examine dimensions, tolerances, tools and operations; obtain necessary tools and fixtures.
• Perform all potting and insulating functions and associated winding tasks.
