Job summary

Curtiss-Wright EMD in Cheswick, PA, is seeking a Winding Trainee for our Pittsburgh-area facility. You will train through multiple modules, progress from Labor Grade 10 to 12 and 14 with pay progression, and perform winding, potting, and insulation tasks on stators and rotors.

Required is a high school diploma plus a four-year Electronics/Electrical Apprenticeship or an associate degree in electronics; US citizenship and potential DoD security clearance are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school graduate plus completion of a four-year Electronics/Electrical Apprenticeship, or two-year associate degree in electronics.
• Due to DoD requirements, candidates must be US citizens.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform winding and connecting complex stators and rotors, and wind stators completely as required.
• Build up, fit, and assemble complete stator coils and rotors; apply potting and insulation compounds.
• Coordinate winding operations and review job assignments with drawings and instructions.
