Job summary

Takkion Ops Management is seeking a driven Wind Technician for a partner site in Iowa. You will inspect, maintain, operate, and repair wind turbines, working with leadership and field teams to support company success.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 1 year of related maintenance experience, and safety training such as GWO. You must be willing to climb towers and work with heavy equipment in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related maintenance experience.
• Active GWO Basic Safety Training preferred.
• Experience around heavy equipment preferred.
• Must understand and repair turbine mechanical, hydraulic, braking, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily safety meetings.
• Inspect equipment and tools for safe use.
• Participate in Job Safety Analysis.
• Inspect exterior and structural integrity of the turbine tower.
• Climb towers to inspect, troubleshoot, or repair turbine equipment.
• Test electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems; troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Service transmission systems, substations, or fiber optic sensing and control systems.
• Replace worn or malfunctioning components.
• Follow maintenance manuals and SOPs for turbine parts.
• Complete progress reports and end-of-day housekeeping.
• Perform other job-related duties.
