Job summary

Takkion Ops Management is seeking a Wind Technician for one of our partnered local sites in Texas. You will inspect, maintain, operate, and repair wind turbines, climbing towers up to 260 feet to troubleshoot and fix turbine equipment.

Requirements include a High School Diploma and at least 1 year of maintenance experience; GWO is preferred. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to support safety and reliability at the site.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related maintenance experience.
• Active GWO Basic Safety Training preferred.
• Experience around heavy equipment preferred.
• Ability to understand and repair turbine mechanical, hydraulic, electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Attend daily safety meetings.
• Inspect equipment and tools for safe use.
• Inspect tower exterior and integrity.
• Climb towers to inspect, troubleshoot, or repair turbine equipment.
• Test electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions in mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical systems.
• Service wind field subsystems and related controls.
• Replace worn or malfunctioning components.
• Follow maintenance manuals and SOPs.
• Complete progress reports and end-of-day housekeeping.
• Perform other job-related duties.
