Job summary

Takkion is seeking a Wind Technician to join our field teams at partnered local sites in Texas. You will inspect, maintain, operate, and repair wind turbines, climbing towers and troubleshooting complex systems. Strong safety awareness and teamwork are essential.

Candidates should have at least one year of maintenance experience, a high school diploma, and preferably GWO safety training. This on-site role requires local residency within 60 miles and a readiness to work varying hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related maintenance experience.
• Active GWO Basic Safety Training certificate, preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience around heavy equipment preferred.
• Must troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, braking, and electrical systems of a turbine.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, operate, and repair wind turbines at local sites.
• Climb towers to inspect and repair turbine components.
• Test electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and replace worn components.
• Complete progress reports and daily housekeeping.
• Must live within 60 miles of job location.
