Job summary

Nordex North America is hiring a Service Technician I to support safe and efficient operation of wind turbine generators. You will perform routine maintenance, assist with troubleshooting, and keep detailed service records to ensure high availability across wind farms.

Ideal candidates have 0-2 years in wind energy or related fields, a high school diploma, and the ability to work outdoors, climb towers, and lift up to 50 pounds. Shift flexibility and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical, wind energy, or engineering education preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in wind energy, industrial maintenance, mechanical, electrical, construction, or related fields.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine wind turbine maintenance and basic repairs following established procedures.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues under guidance of experienced technicians.
• Complete maintenance reports, track work activities, and manage service tickets.
• Support inventory and material management, including receiving, organizing, and tracking parts and tools.
• Prepare tools, materials, and documentation for scheduled work.
• Follow safety procedures including PPE inspections and incident reporting.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and turbine performance.
• Collaborate with team members and support other site operations as needed.
