Job summary

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy seeks a wind turbine technician at Alta Windfarm in Clinton, IL. You will service and maintain turbines, complete work orders, and interact with customers while prioritizing safety.

Entry-level role with pathways in electrical/mechanical systems; background in skilled trades is preferred but not required. Valid driver's license and ability to work at height are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications are a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work safely in a team environment and meet safety regulations.
• Strong prioritization, planning, and problem-solving skills for daily work.
• Hands-on experience with electrical systems including PLCs is preferred but not required.
• Experience interacting with customers at various levels of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Perform service and maintenance of Siemens Gamesa wind turbines at the site.
• Complete technical work orders and document results.
• Interact with teammates and maintain a safety-first mindset.
• Tackle additional roles at an operating wind farm as needed.
