Job summary

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy seeks a Wind Service Technician to diagnose and repair wind turbines at our on-site site in the United States. You will perform service and maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and support multiple sites, including travel to Iowa as needed.

The role requires the ability to work at heights ~300 feet, stay safe under challenging conditions, and collaboratively develop improved field procedures. Training and safety emphasis are core.

Qualifications

• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Flexible travel schedule.
• Excellent customer service and communication.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain wind turbines.
• Troubleshoot errors on wind turbine systems.
• Escalate technical issues to engineering.
• Support home wind farm and other sites in Iowa as needed.
• Provide excellent service to customers.
• Contribute to development of field procedures and best practices.
• Work at height in turbine enclosure ~300 feet.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards.
