Job summary

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is seeking a Wind Technician to service and maintain wind turbines on our projects in the United States. The role requires the ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team, manage complex systems in challenging environments, and provide outstanding customer service.

Relocation may be offered, with travel up to 25% and a base salary in the stated range. Requirements include a high school diploma (associate degree preferred), a valid driver's license, and at least

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in related field is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; DMV checks may apply.
• Minimum 6 months experience in a mechanical, electrical or industrial field.
• Must be physically able to work at heights and in confined spaces; meet safety weight limits.
• Pre-hire drug screening is required.
• Renewable Energy/Wind Tech certification or hands-on wind farm experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintenance of wind turbines.
• Troubleshoot turbine faults and resolve issues.
• Escalate technical issues to engineering functions.
• Be self-motivated and address issues independently and efficiently.
• Work with a flexible schedule and travel up to 25% as needed.
