Job summary

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is seeking a Wind Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain wind turbines. You will deliver high-quality service for customers, work at elevated heights, and travel to sites across Iowa as needed.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and the ability to adapt to challenging environments while developing new field procedures and best practices.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid drivers license at the time of application.
• Able to work safely in confined spaces and at heights.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% in the first year, then ~10% thereafter.
• Physically able to perform job duties.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintenance of wind turbines.
• Troubleshoot errors on wind turbine equipment.
• Escalate technical issues to engineering teams.
• Support multiple sites across Iowa as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain safety standards.
• Participate in the development of improved field procedures.
