Job summary

Avangrid Power is seeking a Wind Turbine Technician to manage on-site operations, maintenance, repairs, and equipment replacement at a wind-powered generation plant. The role leads plant operations as directed by the Plant Manager.

You will read schematics, troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, and perform OEM-guided preventive maintenance while adhering to safety protocols and QA/QC practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certs or wind training valued.
• Experience with maintenance and electronic testing equipment desired.
• Advanced computer skills for facility control, reporting, and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wind turbine equipment and related infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in nacelle and hub.
• Perform preventive maintenance per OEM manuals; follow safety programs.
