Job summary

Siemens Gamesa is hiring a field maintenance technician in Texas to service, maintain and troubleshoot wind turbines. The role requires driving to sites, performing predefined tasks, and providing on-site or remote support while prioritizing safety and reliability.

Candidates should be able to climb and operate at heights, travel between sites, and work outside regular hours. A high school diploma is required, and a pre-employment background and drug screening will be conducted.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to travel to other sites as needed.
• Able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Willing to work outside planned hours and overtime.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Must meet body weight restrictions per safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and troubleshoot wind turbines and raise technical issues to engineering.
• Perform predefined technical tasks on‑site and remotely, including basic commissioning and integration.
• Support customers remotely and onsite, provide 2nd/3rd level user support with safety in mind.
• Coordinate defined service operations and resolve product issues for customer equipment.
• Assist in generating sales leads for predefined service offers and aid planning activities.
• Analyze problems and apply troubleshooting skills independently to resolve issues.
