Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy seeks a Wind Service Technician to service and maintain wind turbines at a home wind farm site, with occasional support across Iowa. You will diagnose and repair turbine systems, ensuring safe operation and customer satisfaction.

The role requires working at heights, up to ~300 feet, and travel up to 25% initially, then 10% for business needs. Emphasis on safety, teamwork, and problem solving is essential.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Able to work safely at heights and in confined spaces.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and plan daily tasks.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.

Responsabilités

• Service and maintenance of wind turbines.
• Troubleshoot errors on wind turbine systems.
• Escalate technical issues to engineering.
• Support other sites across Iowa as needed.
• Provide excellent service to customers.
• Develop improved field procedures and best practices.
• Work inside turbine enclosure at height (~300 ft).
• Maintain safety and adapt to hazardous environments.
• Participate in extensive safety training.
