Job summary

Invenergy is hiring a Wind Technician for the Goldthwaite Wind Energy Center in Goldthwaite, TX. You will operate and maintain wind turbines, perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance, and troubleshoot faults on GE equipment.

The role requires climbing towers, working outdoors in all weather, and lifting up to 100 lbs. A high school diploma and 1 year of technical experience are expected, with a valid driver’s license and US work eligibility.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of technical/mechanical/electrical experience.
• Able to work outdoors in inclement weather and at heights up to 250 ft.
• Able to move and manipulate up to 100 lb (45 kg).
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbines and related equipment.
• Climb wind turbine towers daily using required safety gear to inspect, maintain or repair.
• Understand electrical and mechanical functions of wind turbine components.
• Troubleshoot faults and repair or replace components as needed.
• Maintain tooling, facilities and a clean, safe work environment.
• Work a 40-hour week with potential overtime during peak maintenance periods.
