Job summary

Invenergy is seeking a Wind Technician for the Gunsight Mountain Wind Energy Center in Big Spring, TX. You will perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbines, climb towers daily, and troubleshoot faults while ensuring safety and equipment integrity.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 1 year of technical experience, ability to work outdoors in inclement weather, and valid US work authorization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• One year of technical experience in mechanical or electrical fields.
• Able to work outdoors in inclement weather and at heights.
• Valid driver's license and US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbine and equipment.
• Climb wind turbine towers daily and inspect/repair equipment with safety gear.
• Troubleshoot faults and replace components as needed.
• Maintain tooling, facilities and a clean, safe work environment.
• Work a 40 hour week with potential overtime during peak maintenance.
