Job summary

Invenergy is seeking a Wind Technician to operate and maintain a 150MW wind facility in Lu Verne, IA using GE turbine technology. The role involves routine mechanical/electrical maintenance, climbing towers, and troubleshooting faults while upholding safety standards.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of technical experience or education. A valid driver’s license and US work authorization are required; overtime may apply, and a safety testing program is in place.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with technical exposure.
• Experience or education in mechanical/electrical fields preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather and at heights.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbines.
• Climb wind turbine towers daily with safety equipment to inspect, maintain or repair components.
• Troubleshoot faults and repair or replace components as needed.
• Maintain tooling, facilities and a clean, safe work environment.
• Work a 40 hour week with overtime during peak maintenance periods.
