Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Wind Technician to support turbine operations at wind sites within Hub ME1 in Maine. The role involves daily maintenance, safety, quality control, and warranty repair tasks, with local travel to multiple site locations.

You will collaborate with Site Lead and Manager to meet contract requirements, troubleshoot issues, and document work using service reporting tools. The position requires a valid driver’s license and ability to work rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year wind technician/ wind mechanic experience or Wind Certificate Program/Associate’s in Energy, or 2 years electrical work experience.
• Passes Technical Knowledge Assessment.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Work with site & hub leadership to execute contractual obligations per customer requirements.
• Perform maintenance, repair or replacement of parts to correct malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on turbines.
• Assist in site operations with minimal supervision, observing safety requirements.
• Perform diagnostic electrical analysis.
• Document all work with service reporting procedures.
• Coordinate with GE’s remote operations center when needed.
