Job summary

Siemens Gamesa is seeking a Wind Turbine Technician to perform routine service, maintenance, and fault repairs on wind turbines at a home wind farm, with support for a mobile team across up to three additional sites. You will inspect blades, handle mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic tasks, and document all activities using our standard tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2 years' technical, mechanical, or electrical field related to wind turbines.
• Able to work safely in a team setting and meet physical demands.
• Experience with electrical systems: PLCs and converters; customer-facing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct blade inspections, examining all blade quadrants.
• Maintain turbines: mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs safely and timely.
• Climb turbines (300 feet) and work in confined spaces at elevation.
• Record and report service activity using company tools and protocols.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards, site rules, and environmental protocols.
• Be physically prepared for ladder climbing, lifting, bending, and working in adverse weather conditions.
