Job summary

Terra-Gen, LLC is seeking a trainee to assist in the safe operation and maintenance of wind turbines at Texas sites. You will work under supervision to learn turbine components, perform basic mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation tasks, and complete training programs within the designated schedule.

Responsibilities include following safety policies, reading meters, performing simple repairs, and maintaining logs. Travel, overtime, and weekend coverage may be required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required.
• Familiar with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical equipment and operating procedures.
• Safe use of tools and plant safety rules.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, databases).

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Complete required annual safety training.
• Participate in turbine-specific training.
• Assist in the operation of wind turbine systems under supervision.
• Learn maintenance tasks (changing filters, greasing components, changing fluids, replacing parts).
• Learn to read meters and gauges and use electrical test equipment when certified.
• Travel as needed and maintain logs and paperwork.
