Job summary

Terra-Gen is seeking a trainee to assist in the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of wind turbines in Texas. Under supervision, you will learn turbine components, maintenance tasks, and safety procedures while completing required training.

You will read meters, assist with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, and support with logs and documentation. Travel and overtime may be required as part of developing skills on the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
• Familiar with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical equipment, systems construction and procedures.
• Safe use of tools and adherence to plant safety rules.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, databases).

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operation of wind turbine systems under supervision.
• Learn maintenance procedures: change filters, grease components, change fluids, replace parts.
• Read meters, gauges, and logs to verify operating conditions.
• Complete required safety training and documentation.
