Nordex North America in Portland, OR is seeking a Sales Engineer to support wind turbine and project bids from a technical perspective. You will respond to technical queries, coordinate internal teams, negotiate Turbine Supply Agreements, and travel up to 25% to project sites.

The role requires 5–7 years in sales engineering, a engineering degree, and strong communication skills. This exempt position offers a competitive USD salary of $110,000–$120,000 with up to 10% bonus and comprehensive

Qualifikationen

• 5-7 years of relevant Sales Engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Energy production/distribution knowledge.
• Knowledge of alternative energy solutions and regulatory framework.
• Proactive and result oriented with strategic and analytical skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Aufgaben

• Responds to technical queries from customers and Sales Managers.
• Prepares technical replies for sales offers/tender and deviation lists when necessary.
• Manages the technical review and coordinates internal technical departments.
• Acts as the first point of contact for customers relating to technical questions in the sales process.
• Participates in client meetings to clarify and/or negotiate the technical scope including preparing and conducting technical presentations/documents.
• Prepares and negotiates Turbine Supply Agreements (owning all the technical contract exhibits).
• Supports the development and optimization of technical solutions and sells the project from a technological perspective.
• Travels to project sites and customer meetings required, approximately 25% of the time.
