Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company seeks a skilled Rope Access Technician to safely access wind turbine structures using rope methods for bolt extraction, coatings, inspections and repairs at client sites. The role requires ability to work at height, follow safety protocols, and document work performed.

The position reports to the rope access manager and is a 100% travel role across sites, requiring SPRAT/IRATA certification, a valid driver’s license, and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Active/valid SPRAT or IRATA certifications.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable under company policy.
• Pass a background and DMV check.
• Pass a drug screen.
• Strong communication, transparency, responsiveness and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Safely use rope access methods to access findings.
• Help develop access work plans.
• Complete repairs and inspections to standards.
• Understand resin and coating systems used in repairs.
• Use reporting systems to document repairs and inspections.
• Mentor less experienced technicians.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors.
