Job summary

Nordex North America is seeking a Plant Quality Technician in Iowa to ensure incoming goods, in-processing and finished products meet quality standards. You will work with the PQA team, inspect, audit, analyze, and coordinate corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 3 years in quality control within manufacturing, and familiarity with SAP QM and MS Office. Wind turbine experience is preferred. Safety and collaboration are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality inspection techniques and standards.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical schematics.
• Knowledge of ISO 9000 quality systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct incoming, in-process, and end-of-line inspections to verify quality.
• Monitor production for material, component, and assembly deviations.
• Open and close non-conformities with corrective actions.
• Maintain records of inspections and test results.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production, engineering and suppliers on quality issues.
• Interpret measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
• Provide quality training and guidance to production teams.
