Job summary

Nordex North America in Iowa is seeking a Plant Quality Technician to join the Production Quality Assurance team. You will inspect incoming goods, in-process and final product to meet quality standards, and coordinate deviations.

You’ll work with production and global teams, perform root-cause analysis, drive corrective actions, and support audits while ensuring safety and adherence to ISO 9000 quality practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in quality or technical field preferred.
• 3 years quality control experience in manufacturing.
• 2 years wind turbine manufacturing quality control preferred.
• Strong knowledge of quality inspection techniques.
• Ability to read electrical or mechanical Schematics.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP QM.
• Detail-oriented with independent work style.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Safety-conscious and compliant with protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections to verify quality and compliance.
• Monitor production processes for deviations.
• Open and close non-conformities and document actions.
• Maintain records of inspections and tests.
• Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with suppliers on materials quality.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Operate measurement tools like calipers and micrometers.
• Provide quality training to production teams.
• Perform other duties to support quality objectives.
