Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is hiring a Tiger Team Technician I to support regional wind farm operations. The role involves performing turbine maintenance, bearing and gearbox work, software updates, and safety tasks in a field-based setting.

The candidate should have a high school diploma, 5+ years in wind/solar/BESS, and be willing to travel up to half the time; relocation within 1 hour of the site is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and teamwork are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in Wind School and/or Mechanical preferred.
• Global Wind Organization Certificate preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Wind, Solar, and BESS.
• Willing to relocate within 1 hour drive of site.

Responsibilities

• Assure activities are performed safe per site policies and procedures.
• Pass physical fitness tests to maintain GWO Certification and stay under 270lbs.
• Climb wind towers daily and access turbines for maintenance tasks.
• Lift and transport essential equipment and materials to job site.
• Monitor maintenance contractors and ensure corrective actions.
• Lead or conduct acceptance and performance tests after maintenance or outages.
• Perform safety and wind-farm related tasks and back up to other sites.
• Perform turbine maintenance including generator bearing, pitch ram, gearbox work, and software updates.
• Be willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
