Job summary

Nordex SE in the United States seeks a Service Technician I to support the safe, efficient operation of wind turbine generators at a wind farm. You will perform routine maintenance, assist with basic repairs, and document activities to ensure high asset availability.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and 0–2 years in wind energy or related fields, with ability to work at heights, outdoors, and on a rotating schedule. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; wind energy or engineering education preferred.
• 0–2 years in wind energy, industrial maintenance, or related field.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to work at heights up to 300 ft and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather and on-call schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine wind turbine maintenance and basic repairs following procedures.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues under supervision.
• Complete maintenance reports and track work activities.
• Support inventory and material management, including receiving parts.
• Prepare tools and documentation for scheduled work.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE inspections.
• Maintain records of maintenance and turbine performance.
• Collaborate with team members and support site operations.
