Job summary

Nordex Group in the United States is seeking a Service Technician I to support safe, efficient operation of wind turbine generators and contribute to renewable energy goals. You will perform turbine maintenance and basic repairs, following established safety procedures, and collaborate with field and back-office teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on maintenance, accurate reporting, inventory support, and adherence to high safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical wind energy education preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in wind energy, industrial maintenance, mechanical, electrical, construction, or related field.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine wind turbine maintenance and basic repairs following established procedures.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues under guidance of experienced technicians.
• Complete maintenance reports, track work activities, and manage service tickets.
• Support inventory and material management, including receiving, organizing, and tracking parts and tools.
• Prepare tools, materials, and documentation needed for scheduled work.
• Follow safety procedures, including PPE inspections, toolbox talks, vehicle inspections, and incident reporting.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and turbine performance.
• Work closely with team members and support additional site operations as needed.
