Job summary

Nordex Group is seeking a Service Technician I to help ensure the safe and efficient operation of wind turbine generators at our wind farm locations. You will perform routine maintenance and basic repairs, supporting high service performance for customers and contributing to site growth.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, experience with hand and power tools, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Expect outdoor, rotating shifts and potential travel for training or support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical, wind energy, or engineering education preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in wind energy, industrial maintenance, mechanical, electrical, construction, or related field.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Comfortable working at heights and outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine wind turbine maintenance and basic repairs following established procedures.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues under guidance of experienced technicians.
• Complete maintenance reports, track work activities, and manage service tickets.
• Support inventory and material management, including receiving, organizing, and tracking parts and tools.
• Prepare tools, materials, and documentation needed for scheduled work.
• Follow safety procedures including PPE inspections and incident reporting.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and turbine performance.
• Collaborate with team members and support additional site operations as needed.
