Job summary

Mortenson Construction seeks a skilled technician for the Heritage Prairie Wind Project in Reddick, IL. You will dismantle, erect, assemble and align turbine components according to manuals and drawings, ensuring safe and efficient construction processes on site.

The role requires reading technical documents, strong teamwork, and a detail-oriented approach. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license are required, with travel and physical demands typical of turbine installations.

Qualifications

Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, assembly/disassembly instructions, operation and maintenance manuals.
Strong teamwork orientation and collaboration.
Positive attitude and professional customer service skills.
Detail oriented approach to tasks and safety.

Responsibilities

Receiving and offloading all major components.
Installing loose components for Nacelle, hub, and tower preparation.
Connecting blades to hub.
Setting base and tower sections.
Managing taglines.
Involved with main erection crane assembly and teardown.
Climbing ladders - average 80m.
Drilling and/or tapping of all holes on turbines, generators, compressors, and pumps.
Torqueing/tensioning any bolted connection.
