Job summary

Mortenson is seeking personnel for the Heritage Prairie Wind Project in Reddick, IL. The role involves dismantling, erecting, and maintaining wind turbine machinery per manuals and drawings, with on-site duties including offloading components, tower assembly, and crane operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, assembly/disassembly, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Strong teamwork orientation.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and offloading all major components.
• Installing loose components for Nacelle, hub, and tower preparation.
• Connecting blades to hub.
• Setting base and tower sections.
• Managing taglines.
• Involved with main erection crane assembly and teardown.
• Climbing ladders - average 80m.
• Drilling and/or tapping of all holes on turbines, generators, compressors, and pumps.
• Torqueing/tensioning any bolted connection.
