Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an Equipment Operator for the Heritage Prairie Wind Project in Reddick, IL. The role involves operating a range of heavy equipment, following safety policies, and maintaining equipment while supporting project goals.

The position requires at least one year of related experience, equipment certifications, and a valid driver’s license. Base compensation is listed hourly, with a union-supported benefits package under the project agreement.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment as listed (blade, dozer, loader, scraper, forklift/telehandler, crane, skid-steer, aerial lifts, roller)
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and load charts
• Must possess equipment certifications and at least 1 year of related experience
• Must have a valid driver’s license with required endorsements

Responsibilities

• Operate project equipment per specifications and safety policies
• Follow safety regulations and maintain clean, orderly work area
• Perform routine maintenance (lubrication, fueling, cleaning) and monitor equipment for malfunctions
• Follow pre-task cards and work plans; assist with other duties as needed
