Job summary

Nordex North America is seeking an Assembly Operator - Electrical Production Technician to install and wire electrical systems in wind turbine nacelles, hubs, and control panels. You will route harnesses, use testing equipment, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

The role emphasizes collaboration with engineering and quality teams, ongoing process improvements, and support across production areas as needed to meet production benchmarks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Electrical certifications or technical training.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical assembly or manufacturing.
• Experience in wind turbines, industrial, or automotive electrical systems.
• Ability to read work instructions and electrical schematics.
• Willingness to obtain electrical safety certifications.
• Must pass respiratory fit test; working at heights.
• ISO 9000 knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install electrical components in wind turbine nacelles and hubs.
• Route and secure wiring harnesses, connectors, and control systems.
• Use testing equipment to verify electrical continuity and system functionality.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Exceed production benchmarks by completing tasks within designated timeframe.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve electrical assembly procedures.
• Assist mechanical assembly operators as required.
• Support other production areas as assigned by supervisor.
