Job summary

Invenergy LLC is seeking a Wind Technician to operate and maintain the Miami Energy Center, performing routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbines and associated equipment.

Candidates must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather and on towers, with overtime during peak maintenance periods. The role includes safety requirements and a commitment to a reliable energy infrastructure.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• One year of technical experience (mechanical, electrical, etc.) and/or technical education
• Outdoor work in inclement weather, able to climb ladders without assistance, work at heights over 80 meters (250 feet)
• Ability to move and handle up to 45 kg (100 pounds)
• Weight must not exceed 120 kg (265 lbs) excluding gear
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future
• Conditional offers subject to drug testing and negative result

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbine and related equipment
• Climb wind turbine towers daily, using safety equipment, to inspect, maintain, or repair equipment
• Understand electrical and mechanical functions of all turbine components
• Troubleshoot faults; repair and/or replace components
• Maintain company tooling, facilities and equipment and a clean safe work environment
• Work a 40 hour week with overtime during peak maintenance periods
