Job summary

Invenergy is seeking a Wind Technician to operate and maintain the Miami Energy Center. The role involves routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbines, plus climbing towers daily to inspect, maintain, or repair equipment.

You will work outdoors in varying weather, troubleshoot faults, and ensure safe, efficient operation. A 40-hour week with overtime during peak periods is typical; safe practices and physical fitness are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of mechanical/electrical experience.
• Able to work outdoors in inclement weather and at heights.
• Capable of lifting up to 100 pounds (45 kg).
• Valid driver's license and US work eligibility.
• Drug tests may be required for offers.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbine and related equipment.
• Climb turbine towers daily, wear safety equipment, inspect, maintain, or repair equipment.
• Understand electrical and mechanical functions of all components of a wind turbine generator and associated equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults; repair and/or replace components.
• Maintain company tooling, facilities and equipment and a clean safe work environment.
• Work a 40 hour work week and be subject to scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
