Job summary

Invenergy LLC is seeking a Wind Technician to operate and maintain the Camp Springs Energy Center in Snyder, TX. You will perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbines and related equipment, including climbing towers to inspect and repair components.

Required are a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of technical experience. You must be able to work outdoors in all weather, lift up to 45 kg, and hold a valid driver’s license with US work

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
At least 1 year of mechanical/electrical technical experience or education.
Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather and at heights over 80 meters (250 feet).
Ability to move and lift up to 45 kg (100 lb) and carry gear as needed.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbine and associated equipment.
Climb wind turbine towers daily wearing safety equipment to inspect, maintain, or repair components.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults and replace components as needed.
Maintain tools, facilities and a safe work environment.
Work a 40 hour week with scheduled and unscheduled overtime during peak maintenance.
