Job summary

Public Service Co. of OK is seeking a Wind Technician to support the facility and wind team, ensuring safe, compliant operation and reliable performance across turbines, generators, and balance of plant equipment.

You will perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance, work with OEMs and contractors, and participate in safety training to protect personnel and the plant's efficiency. Travel is required; climbing tests and physical demands are part of the role, with a high school

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• 2 years wind industry or power plant experience; climbing test required.
• Valid state driver's license; GWO certification a plus.
• Willingness to travel; familiarity with plant controls and SCADA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety and prevent accidents; report hazards.
• Assist OEMs and contractors with inspections and repairs.
• Operate turbines, switches, and balance of plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
• Maintain records and support plant reliability and efficiency.
• Participate in training and emergency response activities.
