Job summary

Invenergy LLC in Brownsville, Wisconsin, is seeking a Wind Technician to operate and maintain the Forward Wind Energy Center. The role involves performing routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on Siemens Gamesa and GE turbines, climbing towers, and ensuring safe, efficient operation.

The position is outdoors in varying weather, requires a high school diploma and at least one year of technical experience, and may include overtime during peak maintenance periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of technical experience (mechanical, electrical, etc.).
• Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather and at heights.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on Siemens Gamesa and GE wind turbines and associated equipment.
• Climb wind turbine towers daily, wearing all required safety equipment, to inspect, maintain, or repair equipment.
• Understand electrical and mechanical functions of all components of a wind turbine generator and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults; repair and/or replace components.
• Maintain company tooling, facilities and equipment and a clean safe work environment.
• Work a 40 hour work week with overtime during peak maintenance periods.
