Job summary

Invenergy is seeking an Advanced Wind Technician for the Forward Wind Energy Center in Brownsville, Wisconsin. You will perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on Siemens Gamesa and GE wind turbines and related equipment.

This safety‑sensitive role requires climbing towers daily, working outdoors in all weather, and meeting physical requirements including lifting up to 45 kg and heights above 80 meters.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year technical experience (mechanical, electrical, etc.) and/or technical education.
• Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights >80 meters (250 feet).
• Ability to move/manipulate up to 45 kg (100 pounds).
• Weight must not exceed 124 kg (265 lbs.) excluding gear.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on Siemens Gamesa and GE wind turbines and related equipment.
• Climb wind turbine towers daily, wearing safety equipment, to inspect, maintain, or repair equipment.
• Understand electrical and mechanical functions of all turbine components and equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults; repair and/or replace components.
• Maintain company tooling, facilities and equipment and keep a clean, safe work environment.
• Work a 40 hour week with scheduled and unscheduled overtime during peak maintenance periods.
