Job summary

Invenergy is seeking a Wind Technician for the Forward Wind Energy Center in Brownsville, Wisconsin. You will operate and maintain wind turbines and related equipment at height, following safety protocols.

The role requires at least a high school diploma and 1 year of technical experience with mechanical or electrical systems; you must be able to climb towers, work outdoors in diverse weather, and lift up to 45 kg. Training and safety gear provided.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of technical experience in mechanical or electrical fields.
• Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather and at heights.
• Ability to move and lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
• Weight limit of 265 lbs (excluding gear).
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on wind turbines and related equipment.
• Climb wind turbine towers to inspect, maintain, or repair equipment.
• Troubleshoot faults; repair or replace components as needed.
• Maintain tools, facilities and a clean, safe work environment.
• Work a 40-hour week with overtime during peak maintenance periods.
