Job summary

Invenergy, based in Chicago, operates the Forward Wind Energy Center in Brownsville, Wisconsin, and seeks an Advanced Wind Technician to operate and maintain the wind turbines and related equipment daily. You will climb turbine towers, perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on Siemens Gamesa and GE turbines, and troubleshoot faults while adhering to safety protocols.

This role requires a high school diploma and 1 year of technical experience, with outdoor work in all weathers and a valid

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
1 year technical experience (mechanical, electrical, etc.) or related education.
Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders, and work at heights greater than 80 meters.

Responsibilities

Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on Siemens Gamesa and GE wind turbines and associated equipment.
Climb wind turbine towers daily, wearing safety equipment, to inspect, maintain, or repair equipment.
Understand electrical and mechanical functions of wind turbine components and equipment.
Troubleshoot faults; repair and/or replace components.
Maintain tooling, facilities and a clean safe work environment.
Work a 40 hour week with scheduled and unscheduled overtime during peak maintenance periods.
